Description

The Flat Sheet Rectangular SS 316 MD Test Cell is a compact stainless steel membrane distillation cell rated for operation at pressures up to 3 bars, with a 10cm x 15cm active membrane area. The cell features independent hot-side and cold-side chambers with temperature-controlled circulation ports for establishing precise thermal gradients across the membrane.

The rectangular flow channel design provides well-defined cross-flow conditions on both sides of the membrane. SS 316 construction ensures durability and chemical resistance for testing with saline and chemically challenging feed solutions. The cell accommodates standard hydrophobic flat sheet membranes used in DCMD, AGMD, and SGMD configurations.

This cell is compatible with Tech Inc MD test skids and is ideal for laboratory-scale characterization of MD membrane vapour flux, salt rejection, and thermal efficiency under controlled conditions.
