Gas chromatographs on natural gas measure composition and energy content for process control, fiscal metering and fuel quality. Rich gas cools as its pressure falls and can drop liquids that give false readings, which is why the regulator and sample path are kept warm. The cabinet serves gas processing and compression plants, transmission pipelines and metering stations, and LNG and fuel gas systems.
