The Tech Inc. BOP Control and Accumulator Unit is a hydraulic unit that stores energy in accumulators and uses it to operate blowout preventers and choke and kill valves on drilling and workover rigs. The stored energy closes the BOP functions without waiting for the pumps, and electric and air-driven pumps give two independent ways to recharge. Drilling contractors, workover crews and well-intervention companies use it as the core of their well-control system.
Main components
- Accumulator bottles on a common header
- Electric and air-driven pumps
- Hydraulic fluid reservoir
- Control manifold with regulators
- Pressure instrumentation
- Remote driller's, choke and diverter panels
Applications: land drilling rigs, workover rigs and well-intervention units.
