The retrofit kit is for sites where a custody-transfer sampler is ageing, unsupported or no longer gives representative samples, but the pipeline cannot easily be modified. Crude oil export and import terminals, pipeline metering stations and refinery receipt points use it to bring their sampling in line with current practice without cutting a fresh nozzle into the line.
