Constant-pressure cylinders are needed wherever a sample contains dissolved gas or light hydrocarbons that would be lost in an open container. They are the receiver of choice on custody-transfer samplers for live crude, and they carry condensate, NGL and LPG samples to the laboratory for vapour pressure, composition and PVT analysis.
