Access fittings and quills are installed at injection and monitoring points on flowlines, trunk lines, gas plant headers and refinery units. Coupons give a measured corrosion rate from their weight loss and probes give a continuous reading, while quills place inhibitor where it mixes into the flow instead of running along the pipe wall.
